The answer to violence isn’t more violence. People have been peacefully calling out, pleading, and protesting for equality and justice not for more killings. Just because someone says “Black Lives Matter” or that they’re against police brutality doesn’t mean that they hate other groups or the police. There are always bad apples who use situations to fuel their own dysfunction and create more divisiveness.
It’s deeply upsetting that officers in Dallas were attacked and five officers were killed last night after a peaceful protest. Anyone seeking more bloodshed or hate in support of either side of this issue is part of the problem and not the solution. There is a divide that our country has been ignoring and it is time to see it for what it is and work together to fix it. We can’t keep sweeping inequality under rug and expecting the country to be ok.
